Scout Shabbat: A Jewish religious service recognizing Scouts
When: Friday, February 7, 2020, 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm Where: Temple Shalom, 8401 Grubb Rd, Chevy Chase, MD 20815 Visit Temple Shalom for a special shabbat service recognizing Cub Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Friday evening family services are joyful, warm and welcoming, with something to touch both the mind and heart. The service will be led by the religious school, which includes Pack 275 scouts and alumni. The service features music and Temple Shalom's fabulous Youth Choir. The service lasts about one hour and is followed by light refreshments. Scouts should wear their Class A uniforms and arrive early. Participating scouts will receive a 2020/5780 scout shabbat patch. Parents should RSVP by January 30 so we can order enough patches. Scouts are also encouraged to join a potluck dinner at Temple Shalom before the service. The dinner starts at 6:15 pm.
